Hi DEM, it seems like it was last month when I took the entrance examination, but I have just finished my first year of Medicine at the University of Kosice.
Studying Medicine had always been my dream; I had never planned to study it abroad, but I can assure that this was one of the best decisions I have ever taken. I study and live in Kosice, a very beautiful, small and safe city.
Beginning is always hard, since you are alone and don’t know nobody; moreover, I was afraid of being abroad without my family, but this changed in just a few days. I made a lot of friends, not only from Spain but from all over the world, and now I can say that in Kosice I have made my best friends.
The university was the second worrying issue. I thought the studies will be extremely difficult and that I would not understand well the teachers. However, in the first days you already realized that things will go alright. We study in small groups and the teachers care about our progress, and you can count on them if you have any doubts. The learning material is provided by the university and there is an online forum where you can download almost all the powerpoints used by the teachers.
After a year, I have enjoyed great experiences and now I keep very good memories about it. Now, summer has come and everybody asks me how the university is going and I always give the same answer: I love studying my degree at the University of Kosice, I love what I study, I love the people who study with me and I am looking forward to come back and start my second year.
