More than half of the Crash Course Natural Sciences, that our partner the Iberian College International (ICI) offers, is already over. Many DEM-applicants had the chance to participate in the second ICI Crash Course this year. As always, the course takes place in Alicante and it accompanies our future medicine students for three weeks.
During these three weeks, our DEM-applicants not only have studied the basics of the natural sciences, biology and chemistry, but also have acquired additional knowledge for the first academic semesters, so the beginning of their studies will be easier and they will not have any problem with their studies. In the next week, physics is on the curriculum.
How does the ICI guarantee the learning success of the future students? It is very simple! The course syllabi of the Crash Courses have been arranged with prestigious and leading European universities, so the future students know exactly what international universities demand from their applicants. This is one of the main reasons, why the courses are taking place in English, just as studying medicine abroad. The number of people in the course is always very small and they are, among others, taught by professors from universities we cooperate with (e.g. the Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice).
Recently, we asked our applicants for a brief interim conclusion and the feedback is very positive. Juan Pedro Vasco García, applicant of DEM, describes the course in the following way:
“After a few days of class, I already have the feeling to be better prepared, for the upcoming admission exams, than ever. After the official part of the course, the lecturers and professors are available for us. Then we continue to learn together in small groups.”
We are glad that our applicants can take so much knowledge from our courses into the start of their studies!
