Over 150 new students from different parts of the world (including Spain, China, UK, Sweden and Russia) attended the opening ceremony for the 2012/2013 academic year at the Kaunas University, which took place on 14 September 2012.
The Donde Estudiar Medicina team, who are the international representatives of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, also attended the ceremony.
The ceremony began with a performance from the university’s choir, followed by a welcome message from Professor Remigijus Žaliūnas, the University’s Vice-Chancellor; Professor Vlilius Grabauskas, Vice-Chancellor of the Medicine Academy; Professor Vitalis Briedis, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Professor Zilvinas Padaiga, Dean of the International Relations Department; and the Minister for Education and Science of Lithuania.
The ceremony ended with the hymn “Gaudeamus”, the hymn of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences.
