
Charles University in Prague was founded in 1348 and is one of the world’s oldest universities. It currently has 17 faculties and more than 7,500 employees, 4,200 of which are academic and research staff. The university has over 50,000 students (a sixth of all university students in the Czech Republic). Over 6,000 of its students are from abroad.
